  • Powertap.

It is always easy to find the Powertaps in a group ride, just listen for them.

  • The hubs on the Zipps are pretty annoyingly loud.

er... I've gotta ask. why do you want a loud hub? So everyone knows when you're coasting?

option 2: Baseball card and a clothes pin

  • I used to have some noisy White Industry hubs on my commuter. It was great for riding through campus.

  • Hugi hubs, at least the incarnation from the 90's, have to be undoubtedly the loudest freewheel hubs ever made. Powertap and the Zipps are almost silent compared to those. Loud sound came from the amount of contact points (pawls)...not sure if the Hugi system has more than the White Industries or not, but I do think the Hugis are louder.

  • Chris King would be a good choice too. Super annoying 'angry bee' sound and very nice:
