Bianchi, Lapierre or Cannondale?

asked 6 months ago | Report

As the title suggests Bianchi, Lapierre or Cannondale for road bikes?
Looking to buy one in March and have a shortlist but not sure which brand to invest in.

Also what about flat bars? They looknlike they suit my current riding position. Any experience - good or bad?

  • I have a Specialized Tarmac road bike and a Cannondale Slice 5 Tri bike. I really enjoy them both but love the Cannondale. Both of these bikes are full carbon and are very smooth. I run Shimano 105's on both bikes couldn't really see spending another $1000 dollars to shave a few grams, plus they are a trickle down effect. example Last years Ultegra are this years 105's and so on.

one thing don't get hung up on bike brands. Try different bikes because they will all fit different.

Some bike shops will actually rent some out so you can get a better sense of what fits.

Once found the bike that fits you the best make sure you have it fitted to you specifically. The bike store I go to have trained technicians and will usually include fit cost when purchased through them.
My handle bars are the drop on the Specialized and Aero on the Slice.
As for handle bars they can adjust the angle of the stem to also fit your riding style I believe it is a matter of preference there.

  • I agree with the advice that Bryce H. gave you, I own a Orbea Orca road bike and absolutely love my bike. Take your time, go to alot of different bike stores. Another suggestion would be to know what your looking for in your bike, scram, ultregra, durace etc...don't settle for a make do get what you want, then you'll truly be happy....Safe pedalling.
