Tubulars for training?

asked almost 2 years ago | Report

Anyone out there train day to day on tubulars? I'm very tempted to run tubulars for the performance benefit (lower pressures, smoother cornering, lighter wheel weights). I ride on pretty clean roads and have been lucky enough to have very few flats (be kind cycling Gods).

For the occasional flat, do the sealant products like Vitorria Pit Stop work?

  • Training on tubulars is a waste of time (and money). Train on clinchers, get good and fast on those and then when you switch to tubs for a race you will feel like you are flying!
