If youre talking about a fixed gear track bike it wouldnt be my first choice, but it should be do-able. As long as the whole of the distance is paved and you think your legs can handle the constant motion and tough uphill gearing i say go for it. Try climbing some steep hills and doing some fast descents before you commit to that type of bike, and make sure you have a good brake setup since you may be riding the brakes on fast descents to keep your cadence down.
