How do I either hide a friend's posts or delete them as a friend?

I added someone as a friend who I didn't know that well and now I know longer wish to see his posts. Is there a way I can just hide his posts similar to Facebook or, if not, can I delete him as a friend?

  Go to the profile page of the person you want to delete, on the left hand side below where they put their goals etc.. in tiny print it says " remove xxxx as a friend" click on that link and you will have deleted the DM friend.
