Please fix it! If it worked, it would be a great way to meet people in my area training for the same event.

  They have stated that they are not going to fix the events feature and are instead going to remove the events feature completely in the next update of DailyMile. I think it could be a great way to meet people doing similar races, but I guess they wish to focus more on other parts of the site.
