How much time between olympic distance races?

asked about 1 year ago | Report

I did my first olympic distance June 3rd and I'm looking to squeeze in another before I lose all my free time. Is July 29th a reasonable length of time? I could also do a sprint distance on that day.

  • That's plenty of time for someone to recover, get some more training in and do another one. A few weeks is likely enough for about anyone, and can be closer if one's training amount is higher.

  • I agree... plenty of time! Go for the Olympic distance again! Sometimes when I am "ramping up" my training for a 1/2 iron, I will compete in a sprint and an olympic in two consecutive days (saturday/sunday). That's a great weekend of workouts... just listen to your body.
