New and looking for friends!

Hello everyone! I'm new to dailymile and running. I was looking for a hobby and something to help get me healthier. I live near a bike trail so decided why not try running. I've never done it before and am starting the couch to 5k program. I could really use all the motivation and advice I can get. Please add me!

  • Awesome...I started with that plan back in February and was able to run 3 5k's so far this year...it's a great program and really works. You can do it:)

  • I also started on the C25k program - never in a million years thought I'd run but I do! It's a great way to get started and before you know it you'll be pushing on to a 10k training program! :)

  • I did the C25K program last year, and it really helped get me back into running after too many years away from it. Great choice!

  • Welcome to DM! I did the couch to 5k program last year, it really does work. Two pieces of advice. Don't skips weeks in the program and don't be bummed if you have to repeat weeks. When I started I did the first week and thought it was too easy, but a friend warned me to take it week by week and assured me that it would be difficult soon enough. By week 4 (damn first 5 minute one) I had to repeat.

  • I'm brand new too!! I only have one friend here and I would love to have more to cheer on and draw motivation from :-) I just finished week one of C25K so we are on the same schedule!!
