Could use some more running friends for motivation!

posted 12 months ago | Report

I had to take a break to straighten out my knee issue (turned out to be just runners knee) and now that I'm easing back into things, it seems most of my running friends have either fallen off the wagon or switched to other forms of training. Any runners willing to add me? I'm on my second week of C25K and hoping a slow, steady training method like this will build me back up pain and injury free! :-)

Thanks in advance!

  • FR sent. I'm not a fast runner and I don't think I ever will be! But I enjoy running and I'm building up my distance. People ask me my pace and to be honest, now that I'm running outside I have no idea. I don't wear a watch and for me the pace isn't important. I just want to run!

  • I'm getting back to running so I'm also looking for motivation partners. Many of the ones I had before don't seem to be active anymore.

  • I am returning to running after 8 weeks of cross-training only due to an ankle injury. It was mentally tough to realize I'd lost endurance and speed for running but I'm slowly rebuilding my base and planning to run the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in St. Louis on Oct 21. I'd love some extra motivation and another cyber running buddy!

  • Welcome to the slow runners club!!! I just finished running in my first official run here in Kenosha. The Law Enforcement Torch Run. It was 5.5 miles and I made it 4 miles before I had to ride a bike. The little 8 yr old that was "pacing" our group was running about a minute faster than I am able to. So its back to the basics, miles, miles, miles. FR sent
