  • You can go to http://www.mapymyrun.com and input your route it will give your our mileage. You don't have to signup and it's free.

If you have an iphone there are apps you can buy that track your distance, I'm not sure which is best.
If you have an ipod there is a Nike+ sensor kit you can purchase. The sensor goes on your sneakers and the ipod tracks the mileage.
A little more expensive there are GPS watches like Garmin and Polar.

  • You're already on dailymile - why not just map your routes using the mapping feature when you log your workouts. That way you can save the routes you do regularly and it makes entering them the next time easier. The mileage that Google calculates from the map are fairly accurate - I have an odometer on my bike so I can tell that the map mileage is only off by a bit.

  • Use the dropdown menu under "Community" on your dailymile menu and select "Routes." This will let you map your routes fairly accurately. I really like it because when you map your route, it follows the contours of the road rather than just inserting straight lines, which was the problem I had with the Google Pedometer function.
