    Poker Face Lady Gaga upbeat/fast
Run Baby Run Sheryl Crow (mid run)
Straight Outa Compton (NWA) I picture myself running fast out of the hood.

Lots more but I will let others share.

  • I think the most important thing, given that we all have different taste in music, is that it is music that makes YOU happy. State of mind is extremely important for endurance sports. I like to listen to very familiar music that brings back memories of good times and such. I’m also somewhat of a purist, so I listen to entire albums, not play lists. My favorites: Tom Waits- “Bone Machine, and The Rolling Stones “let it Bleed”, which also happen two of my all time favorite albums. I may also throw in a little “Born in the USA”, or “Tumbleweed Connection”… Actually, for my upcoming marathon, I just might fill the whole I-pod with everything Springsteen ever made and put it on shuffle. I just can’t find a Springsteen song I don’t like.

  • LOL i mainly listen to heavy metal when riding, (MTB) to me nothing gets you more pumped..... but i will throw in some random 80's songs! LOL

i put bands like this on my mix:

    all that remains
    avenged sevenfold
    mudvayne
    guns and roses
    slipknot
    pantera

but then i will throw in songs like :

    forever young (alphaville)
    time after time (cyndi lauper)
    nothing compares (sinead oconnor)

its weird but it works for me! LOL
