I think the most important thing, given that we all have different taste in music, is that it is music that makes YOU happy. State of mind is extremely important for endurance sports. I like to listen to very familiar music that brings back memories of good times and such. I’m also somewhat of a purist, so I listen to entire albums, not play lists. My favorites: Tom Waits- “Bone Machine, and The Rolling Stones “let it Bleed”, which also happen two of my all time favorite albums. I may also throw in a little “Born in the USA”, or “Tumbleweed Connection”… Actually, for my upcoming marathon, I just might fill the whole I-pod with everything Springsteen ever made and put it on shuffle. I just can’t find a Springsteen song I don’t like.
