  • I posed the same question a few weeks back and got nothing. It occurs to me that if you can import an EXCEL file, that might work. (Garmin to Excel. Exel to Dailymile)

So, if someone out there can suggest a way to do an EXCEL file, I'm listening....

  • I just exchanged another email with a Garmin employee today. I was told last month that they'd have something ready soon. Unfortunately, things on there end are delayed and there won't be a solution in the near future in terms of an API. But, we're looking into a few workarounds. Will keep y'all posted.

  • The mapping s/w on this site is Google maps. It should be dead easy to import KML files to generate your own routes. DailyMile if you are listening I cnn help you do this!

  • I too am anxiously awaiting a solution to this. I've been tinkering with ideas, but so far nothing has worked.

  • I would also like to be able to import from Garmin Connect directly. Any news on the front? This would probably be the only thing that would keep me fromusing this site.

  • Garmin Connect lets you export workout maps in KML format. Dailymile, please let us import KML files. You'll save us hours of mouse clicks!

  • I got my Garmin in October 2010 and i asked the same question to the support. I got response from them that they are working on it but they are having issues and working with Garmin to resolve it. It seemed like it will not take long, guess not important to them. If other sites can add it, what is the problem here.

  • We were told "February." Now we're told "Very soon." Some people (Team members?) have it as a beta e.g. http://www.dailymile.com/people/hegstrom/entries/1157939

It's a free service, so we can't complain too loudly, but it will be nice when the rest of us Garminites get to play along.

Honestly, if it's not on here by end of March, I think I'm giving up on data entry here. It's not worth it to me.

  • I am guessing with the departure of the Garmin team anything that comes from them might be a bit delayed!
