The swim takes place in the clear waters of Mountain Run Lake where athletes will race1500 meters and exit into the unique transition area that is the Culpeper Triathlon. After exiting the water athletes will do a bike course that is similar to the sprint course but with the a...ddition of a left hand turn that extends the course by 8 miles for a 24 mile bike course. This is not an easy bike course, but it sure is fun with an extended straightaway on 522 that is great for tucking into the aero position. The run course is a challenging 2 lap version of the sprint course. read more
