    Hills and Thrills

This was my second time doing the PWP and it just as fun as last year. I did the 72 mile route which was long and hilly. And when I mean hilly, I mean all uphill, all the time. Impossible? Not in East Texas!

    Great things about this ride:

There were about 250 people doing our route, but we were spread out so there were long and peaceful stretches where we could really enjoy the scenery. The rest stops were plentiful and placed just right (about every 11 miles) so I never felt too exhausted. The PWP offers 4 routes (25, 52, 72, and 102) so cyclists of any level can join the fun. And with police officers manning every major intersection, we never had to stop for traffic and never got almost killed. I think I need my own personal traffic cop.

    Not so good things:

I could have done without the fajita lunch. I was starving, so I ate it, but next year I think I'll pack a lunch and feast on that upon my return.
