  Race for the Bacon 10k

  My first official 10k. I finished. It wasn't pretty, but I finished. It was all worth it. The race was followed by mac n cheese with bacon, pasta salad with bacon, deep fried peanut butter balls with bacon, potato salad with bacon, mini BLTs, and fried bacon. Oh, there was also a fruit salad (seemed a little out of place). Mad love to my sister-in-law, Jennie, for staying with me. I sent her ahead between miles 4 and 5. She's the best though. Jennie is much faster than me, but hung back with me anyway. Love you gurl!
  Got to see a ton of my friends Marty, Tracey G., Rochelle, Matt J., Amy K., Sara K., Aaron K., Annie, Renee H., Jason, and Tammy (Tammy placed in her age group). Congrats Tammy! These folks make for a great cheering section too!
