The Ninth Annual Barb's Race will be held on August 1st, 2009. If you are a female triathlete who has been thinking about moving up from the Olympic Distance (swim 1.5K, bike 40K, run 10K) to the world of long-course triathlons, Barb's Race is perfect for you! Barb's Race is t...he only all women's Half-Ironman distance triathlon in the world...so this is your chance to be part of something special! Barb's Race is held on the same day as the Full Vineman Triathlon. The event is intended to be a unique opportunity for women to do a half-Ironman distance triathlon that raises money to support women facing a cancer diagnosis. Athletes will swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles, and run 13.1 miles. Barb's Race will follow the same course as the Full Vineman, but is half of the distance as the Ironman-distance Vineman.
