Surf City Marathon
It started out great. I started at a pace that felt really good (a bit under 10min/mile). I was hoping for good weather, which is for me cold, cloudy, and possibly raining. It was like that the day before but during the run, the sun came out and there was no cloud cover. Oh well. Maybe next time. Here are my splits:
3 Mi: 28:52 Pace: 9:38
6 Mi: 58:09 Pace: 9:42
12.2 Mi: 2:07:49 Pace: 10:29
20 Mi: 3:57:18 Pace: 11:52During training, I was a very consistent sub11:00min/mile. What was different in this race from how I trained was the weather. I live near the beach and I run, mostly in the very early morning. Lets see how I do in LA.

surf city half marathon 2010
awesome. gorgeous course and we had beautiful weather. the course itself was mostly flat, one steeper little hill just before mile 4, and a few rolling hills miles 7-10, but nothing too horrible.

Surf City Half Marathon 2010 - Race Report
Full race report here: http://www.whatiruninto.com/?p=1059. I think the main reason why I sucked so bad was the lack of training this winter. (Me and rain don't mix.) Run: B-; Effort: B+
