  Fun and Brutal

  Great race, but the conditions were brutal. The brunch and awards (plants) made everything worthwhile!

  Shorter is sweeter!

  I didn't mind at all that they had to shorten the distances. Having to swim 2 miles in those conditions would've been exhausting! The finisher towel was very nice, the post-race buffet was AWESOME. I made a bee-line for those made-to-order omelettes and waffles! (I'll have to post a pic of my plate.) Plants were a nice 'green' alternative to traditional awards :)
