    Race Report

It was a great race. I love running this race but I did not train like I should have. My longest training run was 5 miles, so I am glad that I finished it.

    Fun fun fun!

Very fun run, lots of photo opps - only downside was the long wait before the start (48 degrees is good for running, not so good for standing for an hour+) and getting up at 3am.

Awesome choice for a first half marathon!

I enjoyed running this race so much. I felt like the time flew by with all of the characters and entertainment along the way. I would love to run the Princess Half again!

    Good race but overpriced.

I had a great time running this race. It was well organized & efficient considering there were about 12,000(?) runners! My sister & I stayed at one of the "host" hotels (Port Orleans Riverside), so transportation was provided to & from the Expo/Packet-Pick-Up and the race. That made getting there easy--despite the 3am wake-up call. (It did look like the driving traffic was heavy at the entrance to Epcot, but not terrible.) Staying at the host hotel was also fun bc a lot of fellow runners were there to chat/bond/&commiserate with!!
My biggest complaint was the cost of the race versus the amenities. Our race-packet left a lot to be desired. The backpack was mesh & cheap, the s.w.a.g. was minimal (socks, eye drops, & a mini-luna bar) & the race-shirts were ill-fitting and cheap. I've payed much less for races & gotten a lot more in the past (under armour shirts, running gloves, nicer tote bags.) Even just vouchers for free food/drinks would've been nice. Also, sharpie was a major sponsor and we didn't receive any goodies from them, which i thought was odd. I know we pay in part for the "Disney" experience, but when you're paying double what some races cost, it's hard to not expect more.
Other than that, the race was fun--the characters & scenery were great & the weather was beautiful! It would make a great (but pricey) girls-weekend, if you have friends who run!
