   Great day, great race! Was camping overnight then up at 3:30 to get ready so not much sleep, but the weather stayed cool and it's a friggin gorgeous course along the water (bonus: flat). The time is a PR for me, 19 min less than previous best in New Orleans.

   Least fun part was 6 hr drive back to Chicago, holy leg cramps.

   What a beautiful morning to run! The 10K started at 7:30 am. I felt great, despite still feeling some lower back/ hip pain. It wasn't bad enough to slow my pace down though. I placed first in my AG (women 40-49). Great turn out for the event. Saw a lot of familiar faces. Happy to report this even raised over $10,000.00 for wounded war veteran's.

   Easy loop of the island which I'm about to negate by visiting one of the 400,000 fudge shops in the little downtown area.

   Bayshore Marathon is tomorrow in Traverse City, still trying to figure out how to handle blister situation. Testing method #3 today.
