Did this 10K last year and was very disappointed.

First off, having to deal with the Del Mar fairgrounds was a pain... got their early but with one way in, it still took forever to get parked.

The race started on the race track itself which is a very hard, very rutted surface. It was tough going for the first half mile (and last half mile) as you can't get any decent footing.

Once you hit the street the run is pretty okay, going north on 101 and then turning around.

Maybe it was me, but I didn't enjoy it at all.

I also did the 10k last year; and it is very poorly coordinated.
#1: the race track that you start and end on is like shredded foam, sand and dirt. Not fun.
#2: the 10k has only ONE water station on it at the 5k turn around, which you cannot reach because it's on the opposite side of the road... and all the 5k'ers are running against you.
#3: They didn't have separate food for the 10k'ers. So by the time 10k'ers got in, the 5k'ers had consumed all the food like locusts.
