Join us on March 22, 2009, for the inaugural West End St. Patrick's Day 5k in one of Allentown's most charming neighborhoods. You'll run the same course as the St. Patrick's Day Parade and get cheered on by the thousands of people lining in the streets and partying in their fr...ont yards.
Then hang around after the awards for the Allentown St. Patrick's Day Parade, the largest in the Lehigh Valley. Enjoy marching bands, entertainers, local groups and much more. It starts at 1:30 and will pass the race start/finish area by about 2 p.m. It's an ideal post-race event for your family.
Proceeds from the race benefit the West End Alliance, a group of neighbors and merchants dedicated toward the continued emergence of the West End business district.
Registration is limited to 250 people for this first-time event. So register early to avoid getting shut out of what promises to be one of the spring's most exciting and memorable races.
