    AOH Top O' the Morning 5K Run

    What an incredible race experience! Toolen's Running Start really knows how to put on an event.

    Pre-race packet pick-up was very organized and easy. Packets included a nice long sleeved shirt, sock hat and a pair of NB running socks. The race started right on time after the National Anthem. The course was an out and back course with a hill starting about mile 1 to the turn around point. The run back was a breeze as it was mostly downhill back to the parking lot in front of Toolen's.

    After the race, there were the usual doughnuts and bananas available. They were also giving away cans of 180 and of course, bottles of water.

    I was very impressed so far but then they announced that the beer wagon was open and they provided all the Bud Light you wanted FREE! Shortly after that, the Little Caesars pizza arrived, again all free.

    Next it was time for the awards which seemed very nice, although I didn't see one first hand :-(. After awards, they gave away a TON of attendance prizes including running shoes, Cardinal's tickets and dinner at local restaurants. I think everyone left with something.

    The 900 runner's in this year's race were treated like royalty and we were all shown a very good time! I'll definitely be back next year!

    Wow.. It was great. My 1st race. I knew I wouldn't be able to run the whole thing, I walked about half. I didn't get so lucky with my packet... got the wonderful shirt and a lot of ads for more races. Wish I had what it took to do that many! I did not know there were more goings on after the race, I would have stuck around. Never could enjoy donuts that early. Bananas were gone boo hoo. I love beer, but my stomach didn't want it today. Next time I will have to bring a chair and enjoy the after happenings!
