PF Chang Rock and Roll Marathon Reviews (1)

What is better then running an race in the middle of winter? Coming from the frozen tundra of South Dakota last year, I ran this 1/2 marathon. It was a good race, great weather, fairly organized, and a decent course. I really enjoyed course as a novice runner because it's fairly flat and comfortable. The down side is the scenery. You run through a rather drab part of town, with a few people cheering you on (some of which were smoking). The upside is the bands every mile or so. Great variety and entertainment makes this race fun and more exciting then most. The finish was great. As you run up to the stadium the music is great and the people are too! After the race we enjoyed the band Everclear and great goodies. For a break from the cold and a motivating winter this race is a great one.
