Better than I thought
Start - c+ - need to have seeded corrals - still too many people walking on Congress with earphones on in front of the 3:40 group. Did not start on time.

Aid Stations - A - volunteers amazing. Could be improved with warning signs a few hundred meters before you get to them - I was taken by surprise a few times at the start.
Course -C+- I know parts of it were out of the organizers control but the last 2miles were terrible. I didn't care because I was using the race as a long run and still felt strong at the finish. The start was OK but I was definately tired of Congress by the time we got to Krebs - the Krebs/McGruger section wasn't great but better than I expected. Volunteers warning racers of the impending squeeze were great.
Bands - B -not many - some were very, very good. The one on San Jacinto sucked!
Finish - A- - impersonal and rushed but the volunteers were prompt in handing out medals, water and t'shirts.
Finisher swag - A+ - as always Austin steps up the plate here - nice medal and a tech shirt that fits!! And, I noticed a shirt exchange area - that was awesome for those that needed it.
Volunteers - A+++ - unbelievable. I liked the idea of the charities manning the water stops. Inspired me to run for Blue Dog next year.
Cops - A+ - friendly and professional. They have a thankless job most of the time so I tried to thank as many as possible.

Checking weather...

I've run 3 Austin Marathons. They did a much better job of seeding the pack in my era (1999-2001). It's still one of my favorite races.
