  Berry College Something...something...something 5K

  This was my first 5K with a real timing device. I woke up at 4:30 to get dressed and get out of the house by 5:30.

  The weather was nearly perfect. It was overcast and in the 50s, but since it's been much colder it seemed warm, but not too warm. There was a turnout.

  The campus is beautiful, the largest campus in America. There are about 2500 students on campus and 25K deer. The deer population was present only in its droppings everywhere. This is my daughter's school but she's in Florence, Italy being all "Exchangy."

  I came in somewhere in the middle of the pack, but I don't know my time...I was between 42:00 and 44:00. The course was pretty level. I was a maniac about maintaining my heart monitoring...but didn't see what the time was when I crossed the line...I did however, walk another half mile slowly until my heart rate was under 100BPM.

  I ran the whole thing without stopping. Yay.

  That's all I got...I am tired.
