   This started out pretty good, but the heat soon got the better of me. Even with a stop at my buddy Mark's house for water and Powerade, I decided to call it quits after 8 miles. I did walk another 1.4 miles before completely throwing in the towel.

   Beautiful run along the creek bank. Got to watch the sun melt the fog away when it rose over the mountain. Once of my stray doggies who run in the park paced me for a loop. Always loose but very friendly. When he sees me coming, he runs to me smiling.

   Back home from Denver. I had to get out on the trails tonight. I had a very good run and felt like I could have gone much further. However, I had limited time this evening, so I stopped at a little over 6 miles.
