A good day for a good race

The weather was a little warm and very humid, but the race still had an excellent turnout. The staff kept registration and packet pickup moving well. The announcer got people set up and started in a timely manner. There were plenty of stocked water stations along the way. The shirt was nice and the post-race food and drinks were quality as well.

    My First 5K Ever

I beat my best practice time by 1:15 (27:45). It was a beautiful day and the race was a lot of fun. The lines for registration and food were not long at all and they had quality food and water everywhere. Only two things I could complain about, 1. the people holding the pace signs were all bunched up at the front, so we had tons of people in front of us that should not have been 2. no timing chip for us lowly 5k runners. All in all a great event and I will probably be back next year for the 10K. :)
