Women's Half Marathon - Scottsdale to Tempe
Great! I made it! I survived! And my knees only hurt a teeny bit towards the end when I got tired. I cannot describe how much fun it was! My friend from Junior High School, Kerri, and I both crossed the start and finish lines at exactly the same time. We kind of signed up for the journey together, so it was awesome to finish with her! There is no doubt in my mind that all the support we got from our coach, Lisa Pozzoni, and her Friends For Fitness team, helped.
I would've finished probably 6 or 7 minutes faster if it wasn't for one pit stop to pee and another to see about getting my blood sugar checked. The medics had a new meter and had never used it before! I ended up leaving before they figured out how to make it work. LOL. Figured my blood sugar was on the high side anyway.
