Brooklyn Half-Marathon
Beat my target by more than a minute. Meant to start slowly in the park and pick it up on Ocean Parkway, but it was more a steady pace, needing increasing effort to maintain. But the result was good nonetheless.

Brooklyn Half Marathon
New PR - broke my old one by 8 minutes! This was a really fun race, and I'm glad the weather was nice for it, especially after the week of rain we've had. The second loop in Prospect Park was definitely more challenging than the first, and I loved the crowd cheering as we left the park. Then it was off down Ocean Ave, pretty much 5 miles straight down a highway. Fortunately there was shade, or else it would have been much more miserable in the hear. I could really feel myself slowing around Mile 11. The last mile we turned onto the boardwalk at Coney Island. The crowd picked up and the cheering at the end was great! Overall, I thought it was a really good race and ending at the beach was awesome!

Brooklyn Half Marathon
PR-ed two years in a row. Gotta love my hometown of Bklyn. Great race. Lots of injuries though and people dropping out. I think it was the heat/sun. However, the medics were definitely on top of it. I saw a medic run up the block to an injured runner. Didn't stay for the after-party, but it looked like a good time. Will be back next year of course!

Checking weather...

Hi everyone,do you think it is unrealistic of me to aim to do this race?I just started running again after a,cough, cough, ten year break.BUT that being said,I find it quite easy to slip back into the routine.I started up last weekend and ran four 3.2 milers in under fourty minutes, yesterday I uped it to five miles in 48 minutes and today I ran over four miles but my tim was messed up as I stopped at starbucks at 4.3 and walked the last 0.23 miles!!:0) hey I needed it,three of my four kids were up in the night!
about 1 year ago~be honest,can I do it??? cheers Natasha:0)
