    Good, but not Great (yet)

I ran this race solo, and was counting on runners' camaraderie to keep the race fun. Surprisingly, I only found 2 ladies in the whole 13 miles that were interested in chatting it up. Most everyone was in head down, earphones in, 'get 'er done' mode. Not the laid back fun atmosphere I was expecting. Maybe 'cause the weather was horrid. Snow/rain all morning and about 1/2 hour into the race, if I remember correctly. Race organization was pretty good, considering they had to deal with all the foul weather, which made bussing people to the start much in advance a bit uncomfortable. They ended up putting off the drop offs as long as possible, which resulted in a potty jam, but that didn't bother me so much as it seemed to bother others. I was ultra disappointed in the tees-just kinda dressy tees with the race info on the bottom area. The fit was not true, for me, and I haven't been able to wear it at all. Bummer.
The course was BEAUTIFUL, peaceful, scattered with supporters, and interesting to run through. The after race party, though a bit soggy, was really fun- I loved the restaurant catered chips and salsa. I swear nothing has ever tasted that good to me in my life! ;) At first I was a bit disappointed with the 'medal'-a tiny rectangular charm to be put on a necklace or bracelet. All it said was 'park city' not even 13.1! or 'park city half' I got over it though, and appreciate that it's well designed and something that I can actually wear out and about, as opposed to a gaudy medal. I didn't run the race to parade '13.1' around anyway. I ran to see if I could, and the charm reminds me in a nice, subtle way that I can do tough things.
Maybe if I gave this race another chance when the weather was cooperating, I'd be giving it a 5 stars rating. It's hard to tell how much the weather affected everything.
