That's right, we will be running literally "around the clock" for the 100 Mile Club! The event starts at 9pm on March 18 and ends 24 hours later. Everyone who runs at least 100 miles will also receive a gift.

Run for Kids - 24 Hour Ultramarathon
Ran three back to back to back marathons in 24 hours to support the 100 Mile Club - a physical fitness and life skills organization whose focus is addressing childhood obesity one school at a time. We ran at Auburndale Intermediate School in Corona, CA around a quarter-mile track. There were two direction changes and the volunteers developed five fun themes to keep things interesting. Somehow the Food Runners supported 24 hours of food such as hot soup and quesadillas for the runners and their crew. In the middle of our event (Saturday morning), a second parallel and much larger event was held - the 100 Mile Club's Run for Kids 2011. Several hundred kids ran and walked for up to 4 hours. One kid ran 18 miles! The ultrarunners raised $7,000 that will go to 100MC scholarships. The entire event was pure joy and I will never forget it. http://100mileclub.com
