Race Reports

  • Very fun event!

Lots of people and lots of great costumes. I didn't get a chance to dress up, but wished that I had. 3,000 people showed up and there was plenty going on. The course was flat, but the sun was hot at 6pm when the run started. I couldn't find any water before the race started, which was a little annoying. Definitely a lot of fun though and I hope to participate again next year.

  • Wow.

Hard to imagine running a 5k could be this fun. There were small bands placed intermittently along the course, along with ice-cream flinging cows and a ski-ball machine. Crazy, I know. Or perhaps a better adjective would be... WEIRD? Just another way Austin keeps it weird, I guess.

Alejandro Escovedo is apparently headlining the music fest to go along with the race. Wish I knew who that was.
