Ellerbe Springs Marathon
The coarse lived up to its difficulty billing. Nonetheless, it is a well organized laid back event through the charming countryside around Ellerbe. The hill work gives rise to some extraordinary views that give you the impression that you are much further west in NC. It is a refreshing alternative to the mega race fields of many other marathon events in the Carolinas. If a small race field suits your fancy, this is a great race possibility.
