    Flat and fast

Great ride yesterday, flat and fast, but man did it get hot. Don't know what I would have done without the last two aid stations--thanks to all who helped out!

    Holy Cow Was It Hot!

I think we topped out around 100 degrees, and for my first century... that was HOT! The only thing that made this doable for me was the aid stations every 10-15 miles that were all shaded and well stocked with: water, ice, gatorade, energy drink, pickles, trail mix, granola, fig newtons, rice crispies, oranges, bananas and more (oh yeah, and porta-potties).

My buddy popped a spoke 50 miles in sadly, so I went solo for a lot of miles, sneaking in 5-10 miles at a time with packs I could keep up with. Overall, had a great time.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, I added my cyclemeter route export from my iPhone. You can see the entire route in the bottom left corner of this page :)
