    OC Half Marathon

    Personally, I had a terrible race. It just wasn't my day...

    But the event was great, well organized with everything marked well. There were plenty of restrooms along the route, I saw a ton of them and rarely saw lines. The race tee is an awesome tech tee, well-fitting and nice-looking. Post-race they had a pretty big exhibitor area. Participants got a small bag with a couple of food items (banana, 2 mini Clif Mojo bars and 2 breakfast cookies). The course was hillier than I anticipated, but it had beautiful views of the ocean and ran past some pretty homes. The crowds on the street were very encouraging.

    You must have run the 1/2 marathon because the second 1/2 was totally marked wrong. full marathoners were wondering if they were delusional with the mile markers placement. The heat and head wind the last 3 to 5 miles made it harder (but thats just nature) Love my tech shirt though and the people were nice. Talked with some amazing fast runners after this and this was not a very good course for full marathoners. So glad it wasn't just me thinking it. Made me feel better with the time I ended with. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.
