Don't put away those running shoes too soon! Over 1,000 runners turned out for the fun in 2009. You'll want to lace up and be at the starting line on December 5, 2010 - 10:30 a.m. start. The 5K course winds through the wide avenues of West Hartford, past festive shop w...indows and neighborhoods decorated for the season. Start, finish and post race refreshments in Blue Back Square. The Kids Fun Runs (1/2 mile and 1 mile) start at the same location as the 5K at 10:15 am. Join us at Blue Back Square in West Hartford for this special holiday 5K to benefit our neighbors in need by donating a pair (or two or three) of mittens when you come to packet pickup. All items collected will be donated to the “Town that Cares Fund”, a program of the West Hartford Social Services Department. read more
