Race Report
Unofficial results. I tried hard, but still had to limp in. I'm improving, just need a bit more something.

Poorly Organized
Too bad there isn't a rating scale for event organization. The water and powerade stations were poorly marked and poorly staffed. Nearly impossible to grab without stopping and waiting. Though there was supposed to be nutrition at Mile 3, we couldn't locate it.
There were only a couple of mile markers. I'm not sure I've ever done a race that didn't have a marker at every mile interval, and that definitely threw me off.
The event didn't pay Metro to get the trains running early enough. Despite getting on the first train of the morning, thousands of runners couldn't get to the race before the gun. To make matters worse, the Greater Washington Sports Alliance blamed the problem on the City, when it was actually their cheapness.
At the end of the day, the route was fun, and I saw quite a few friends along the way. I would not run another race organized by the Greater Washington Sports Alliance.

Race Review
DC metro sure didn't help the organization. Had to wait 30 minutes for a train and then there was only 1 escalator moving up at the Armory station. Similarly when leaving the finish line festival. It's as if WMATA didn't know there was a race taking place.
That being said, mile markers could be a lot better. I didn't realize until mile 10 that they were written in chalk on the ground.
Still a quiet race compared with others I've done, but I noticed more people out this year, as opposed to last. That was great.
