It is a Y shaped course with two out and backs: one on one arm of the Y and one on the other. An unofficial race with no entry fee, no sign ups, no forms - just folks getting together to run. Be self supported with fluids, gels, munchies, etc. It is a trail run with roots..., perhaps mud, bugs, branches, etc. Plan on knocking 2 minutes off your normal pace, start slower than you think you need to and save gas for the end. You have to pay attention to where you place your feet and if you haven't run trails before it sounds intimidating, but it is amazing how quickly you acclimate to it. Trail running takes more energy (soft ground) but simply does not beat you up like a road run. read more
