    Going Back Again!

    One more potty would be nice since I had to wait last year at an aid station, but everything else was super. While I am anxious to begin training in the winter again, I am also excited to tackle the HAT once more.     A popular event

    HAT was my first ultra. It's a great transition to a trail ultra for marathoners. That is not to say it is easy. While there's nothing like a mountain climb, there are many short, steep, tough hills. It's a double loop that takes you back through the start/finish area, so get in and out of your bag at the end of the first loop quickly! The trail is runnable, there is a bit of gravel road and some paved road as well. The one drawback of this race is that it is quite crowded. Be patient in the first few miles, passing is tough.
