LB 1/2 Marathon
wow, 1st 1/2 Marathon in the bag! first medal on the wall. Garmin reads <13.29> @ 2:04:06, but no matter...
stoked w/ my performance, optimistically aimed for sub-2hr - at +/- mile 6 - and may have hit it if not for a roadside pit stop and the human traffic at the start and on diff sections of the course.
ate well, drank well, no pains, some post race soreness now.
must send a BIG shout out to Dj M for all his support and pacing towards the end, and being surrounded by a great group of people from his extended family.

Long Beach Half Marathon
Great course, great weather, great spectators. The shirts were well-designed and high quality, the expo was small, but packed with good stuff and very well organized. Race day was really crowded and the banked freeway lanes for the start of the race were a little rough, but overall the course was flat, fast, and fun. There were plenty of aid stations and they were well-stocked. Only had to use one of my own packs of clif bloks and none of my own shotz. I'm looking forward to next year!
