Firecracker 6 came from a vision to not only promote health and fitness; but is to remind us of our history. On July 4, 1776 the United States Declaration of Independence declared independence from the British Empire. Forty years later in 1816, the state of Indiana, joined the... union, becoming the nineteenth state. Now over two hundred years later, a new tradition is born, a 6 mile running and walking event for everyone to honor the birth of the United States in 1776 and the birth of the State of Indiana in 1816.
