Race Report
The race was going my way for the first 5 miles, then I was struck with sickness. I'm getting tired of being sick in races...
Overall it was a great event. It was a little too congested at the beginning and since the race divided participants into corrals, they should have used those to space the crowd out a little. It was a wee bit demoralizing to run past the finish line at mile 7 or 8 but then still have to circle out and come back in! I think the course was a little long, since nearly everyone I've talked to had some kind of variant of 13.2x miles on their Garmins/RunKeeper/MapMyRun/etc. There were even some people mentioning on the official reviews that they had measurements like that. Then again, maybe they measured the official tangents in such a way that we couldn't actually run them that way as a group.
And the medals are FANTASTIC! 2-in-1 medal with charm, so you get a necklace you can wear around after to commemorate your accomplishment.
Plenty of restrooms on the course (it seemed, I didn't use them), tech tee, cute goodie bag with several sample items in it. Pretty decent expo, but the space was a little cramped.
