Philadelphia Rock n Roll 1/2 Marathon 09/19/2010
This was a nice race. I drove from NY and I'm glad I checked it out...however, i did enjoy Va Beach so much more.
The expo in Philly didn't have as much as the last one and some of the people, I have to say were rude!!! The course was pretty good until about mile 9 where it was a lot of hills and the 1/2 mile seemed to be uphill. Then the last turn to the finish line was all uphill...that was tough! It started at 8a, with wave starts we didn't get started til about 820a, so it was steaming hot by mid run! I did hear some talk about how they just changed the course and the last one was way better!!!
Either way, good experience. I was with my sister and 2 friends and we def enjoyed the weekend! So far, I'm loving the Rock n Roll Series and can't wait to check out the rest of them!!!
