he Primo's 1/2 marathon is a mostly flat, point to point course. Starting in Danville at 7:15 am (Primo’s Pizza, 298 Hartz Ave.), you wind through commercial and residential streets. Between miles two and three there is a hill that gains almost 150' of elevation over a quarter... mile (Contada Circle and Thornhill Road). After that it is flat as you continue through the residential neighborhoods of southern Danville. At approximately mile 7.5 you jump on the Iron Horse Trail for a straight shot south to San Ramon covering almost 3 miles before you enter Bishop Ranch. At that point (Norris Canyon Road) the course connects with the 5K course for the final 3 miles to the finish. read more
