Duke City 5K
First time doing this race. In fact, first time this century doing any race. Very well organized, fabulous support from spectators and participants alike. I will definitely do this again and encourage others to do so as well.

Nice Flat Race
This race was not bad, it starts in downtown ABQ, then within mile 3 you are on the "Clear Water Ditch" . Most of the race is on the ditch and then you turn around after running a couple of miles on El Paseo Del Norte and run down the ditch again. The race could have been more scenic if they had the race go through the roads, but it was nice and flat. The water stations where about every 2 mile, which was nice, but they did not give out gels only Gatorade and water. The only thing that got annoying was that they had the half marathoners that where walking on the same course as the the half marathon and marathon runners. The trail wasn't that wide and you had to run around the walkers. This was a nice marathon especial if it is your first. Not every big, but it did had lots of spectators ( who where there mainly for the marathon relay people). You got a long sleeve t-shirt for the event as well as the finisher medal. This race was about half the cost as the big marathons ( $60 compared to $100 or $150) and was worth it.
