The Halloween 10K & Fun Run attracts many of the region’s elite runners, along with thousands of runners and walkers of all ages and abilities that dress in costume and compete for fun. With more than 2,500 registrants, it is St. Louis’ largest 10K race and one of the largest ...in Missouri. The event also features a 1-Mile Fun Run that is popular with family and friends. A Halloween costume contest is held post-race and includes special prizes for the winners in the following categories: Most Original, Scariest, Funniest and Best Group. Participants receive a long-sleeve t-shirt, finisher medal and lots of post-race treats. The course starts and finishes in downtown St. Louis and includes plenty of scary-cool things, which add to the festive feel of the event. Prize money for the top finishers and age group awards are provided. Registration for the 2010 race will open in July. read more
