Race was definitely crowded at the start, but I thought it thinned out nicely by the end of the first mile. Still, that's a third of the race, so not awesome. Overall, seriously impressive for a 5k. Medals, refreshments, clocks, one of the best finish lines you've ever seen (Boston Marathon finish line) and even some spectators. If you're in Boston for Marathon Weekend and not doing the marathon, it's a nice way to take part.

Fun Race!
The race was super crowded and you had to spend a lot of energy pathfinding between runners, but it was fun overall.
