    Great race, boring course

I may be a bit biased because I run Allen Parkway nearly every week but it was essentially three out-and-backs along Allen from downtown to almost Shepherd. Kinda boring. Also, they used the disposable paper timing chips that don't work well with my Yankz laces and I think some of my times may not have been recorded. Oh well...

OK, enough of the negative. Everything else about the race was top notch. It was well-organized. More aid stations than I needed and they were all well-stocked. The volunteers were spread well to prevent cheating and in case there was a medical emergency. I never went more than 45-60 seconds without passing one. There were several thousand people there. Some walked, but most ran. Some ran very quickly and they did well to keep a path for the race leaders who lapped through the crowd of slower runners.

The weather was perfect too, with the pre-dawn hours being in the low 50's and clear. The festival area was basic, but pleasant with plenty of food for the racers as well as meeting areas for the various running clubs.

Very nice finisher medals and technical fabric shirts at the end. If they skimped on the chips to have more budget for the shirts, then I absolutely forgive them because this shirt feels great and looks nice!
