Come celebrate women and fitness at the upcoming Atlanta Women's 5K on March 27, 2010. The Atlanta Women's 5K is a 3.1-mile run and walk for women and girls of all ages and abilities and takes place on a scenic course in and around historic Candler Park. The event features s...pecial touches such as hand-painted, ceramic awards provide SportsPottery.com, commemorative race T-shirts, team competition for Open, Masters, Grand Masters, Mother-Daughter and Sister-Sister, and every participant receives a flower as they cross the finish line. The Atlanta Women's 5K honors Laura Murphy, pioneer and founding member of the Atlanta Track Club Women’s Team as well as one of the first women to serve on the ATC’s Board of Directors. read more
